Industry and Marketing Research. There is much to be learned from professional and trade associations.
The resort and golf course were originally developed as Kimberland Meadows (named after Meadows Valley pioneer and trapper – William Kimberland, who traded with the Indians in the Valley during the 1870′s). The Simonson family, who had lumber interests in California, acquired the property in the early 1980’s. Development of home sites commenced in 1981; the 18-hole golf course officially opened in 1983. In June 2011 the resort property including the golf course, Osprey complex and maintenance facilities was purchased from Hopkins MeadowCreek LLC by the MeadowCreek Resort Association. The goal of the MCRA is to preserve the resort amenities for the residents of MeadowCreek, in perpetuity. The resort, although privately owned by the MeadowCreek Resort Association, is open to the public – all are welcome and encouraged to enjoy the facilities. The MCRA intends to restore and maintain amenities including golf, swimming, tennis, fish-pond and winter nordic sports activities. The MeadowCreek Golf Resort facilities include the ProShop, the Osprey Complex with snack bar and heated swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, as well as the 18-hole golf course, driving range, practice chipping green and practice green.
