About This Association

Education Law Association is the premier forum for current, aspiring, or retired professionals involved in public and private K-12 or higher education, in legal practice, as well as in policy organizations, who are interested in practical knowledge, scholarship, and interdisciplinary dialogue about education law. A nonprofit member association, ELA offers its uniquely diverse membership unbiased information about current legal issues affecting education and the rights of those involved in education. For education professionals and legal advocates serving educational institutions, or for other clients engaged with them, we have been an indispensable resource since 1954.
