About This Association

he Laurel Civic Association has grown right along with the needs of South Sarasota County. Our activities, programs and advocacy are born of the needs of the children and families we serve. Major needs of our community and the entire county are decent and affordable housing, equal educational opportunities for all children, the ability to not be hungry, safe supervised care for children after school, social interaction that increases the horizon of the disenfranchised, and a clean, safe neighborhood to live in. We help the children and families we serve get closer to the goal of self-sufficiency each day with the help of our funders, volunteers and, donors.
