American Agents Alliance

About This Association

The historical roots of the American Agents Alliance began at a small coffee shop in Southern California, when a group of innovative, forward thinking insurance professionals decided to pool together their resources and form a Yellow Pages advertising cooperative. The group listed themselves under the heading “AAACO.” Later, this same group met to discuss how to fight proposed legislation that would have detrimental impact on their ability to write new business. During their successful fight against the bill, members of the group discovered that they had many other issues in common—issues that the other insurance associations were choosing to ignore. They realized that there was truly strength in numbers and that they could accomplish much more as a united front than as individuals. Thus, the Alliance was born.
