About This Association

NAPCOR was founded in 1987 as the National Association for Plastic Container Recovery, with a mission to ensure that plastic bottles made it into the growing number of curbside recycling programs. The organization evolved to focus specifically on PET, becoming the National Association for PET Container Resources in 1998. NAPCOR has a deep historical knowledge base pertaining to PET market applications and recycled PET collection, processing, and end markets. Its legacy of data-driven, hands-on work throughout the PET value chain provides a solid foundation for its new and ongoing member driven initiatives.
