About This Association

The American Camp Association, New York and New Jersey (ACA, NY and NJ) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and enhancing the quality of the summer camp experience. ACA, NY & NJ is proud to have a diverse community of Member camps and Accredited camps including nonprofit and private organizations, day and resident camps, parks and recreation programs, specialty camps, programs serving children with special needs, youth development organizations, as well as independent and private school programs. In addition to the various types of camps we work with, our membership is comprised of camp directors, teachers, coaches, social workers, and other professionals working in the youth development industry. ACA, NY and NJ's operation falls into three overall program areas; accreditation, camper placement and professional development.
