Book Industry Study Group

About This Association

The Book Industry Study Group (BISG) works to create a more informed, empowered and efficient book industry. Our broad membership includes trade, education, professional and scholarly publishers, as well as distributors, wholesalers, retailers, manufacturers, service providers and libraries. Within BISG, representatives of member companies rely on our committee structure as a way to discuss and resolve pain points in the book publishing supply chain. The work of our five standing committees is augmented by working groups that use a structured, collaborative approach to address emerging issues. In partnership with other industry associations, BISG maintains and implements standardized best practices. BISG also develops and shares leading-edge research and information and creates education and events that help our membership and the industry better understand market trends and issues.
