About This Association
Founded in 1985, the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) is the national professional society representing licensed naturopathic doctors, naturopathic medicine students, and other healthcare professionals allied with the naturopathic profession. The AANP's physician members are graduates of naturopathic medical schools accredited by the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education. CNME is recognized by the US Department of Education as the national accrediting agency for programs leading to the Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine (ND or NMD) or Doctor of Naturopathy (ND) degree. Together, we work to advance the unique and distinct philosophy of naturopathic medicine, to expand access to naturopathic doctors, and to help its members build successful practices.
