American Celiac Society/Dietary Support Coalition

About This Association

The American Celiac Society-Dietary Support Coalition (ASC/DSC) is a non-profit, self-help organization that provides support, education, and encouragement for people with celiac sprue and other dietary disorders and food allergies, including dermatitis herpetiformis, Crohn's disease, lactose intolerance, and wheat intolerance. Through patient and general education, nationwide support groups, networking, referrals, and research, ACS/DCS works to increase the awareness of dietary disorders and to identify food products that may contain gluten-gliaden, lactose, corn or soya. ACS/DCS also publishes a newsletter, patient packets, brochures, and offers audio-visual aids for its members. The society offers some Spanish language materials, and has limited Spanish and Italian speaking resources.
