About This Association

WTNM Florist Association, Inc. was "born" at a meeting in Lubbock, Texas on March 13, 1954. The first organizational meeting was held in Amarillo, Texas and was attended by about 40 people from a geographic region bounded roughly by Albuquerque, El Paso, San Angelo, Brownwood, Waco, Dallas, Fortworth, Childress and Amarillo. The association began with a total budget of $1,385.00 that had been pledged by sixty-three firms, including six wholesalers in amounts from $10.00 to $100.00. From those meager beginnings, the WTNM Florist Association, Inc. has grown with the times to become an outstanding floral association that is of great benefit to the florists and the floral industry it serves.
